91快播 Tennis Club serves up Tennis Scotland Awards nomination

Students make shortlist of prestigious Lawn Tennis Association competition

Students from 91快播 Tennis Club are celebrating a smashing success after being shortlisted in the University category of the Tennis Scotland Awards 2024.

The annual awards, which honour the contributions made to tennis and paddle tennis across Scotland, celebrate everything from the achievements of professional players through to the priceless contributions of volunteers.

A total of 20 awards will be handed out during a ceremony in Stirling on Friday, 29 March, 2024, hosted by former BBC presenter Rhona McLeod and featuring tennis personalities.

Lewis Smith of  said:

鈥淭he club is buzzing to have been nominated in these awards, particularly given our small size compared with other universities. There鈥檚 a brilliant community amongst the sports clubs at 91快播 and we鈥檙e really pleased to be flying the flag for 91快播 Sport and the University.鈥

Mikey Devlin, Sport Development Officer at 91快播 said:

The students have shown massive dedication, hard work and a commitment to inclusion and the nomination is hugely well deserved. They are fantastic ambassadors for 91快播 Sport and the University more widely and I wish them all the best for the award ceremony.鈥

91快播 Sport offers a wide range of competitive and social sports activities for students, with around a dozen sports clubs and regular gym, exercise and health and wellbeing sessions.

The University鈥檚 Division of Sport and Exercise Sciences has one of the widest ranges of sports degrees anywhere in the UK, exploring everything from physiology, psychology and biomechanics, through to policy, sport development, coaching for performance and much more.
